Good job! You're lucky because you haven't rust in the tank, as I have.
That could damage the injection pump.
If I was you, I will apply a good protection against the corrosion...

In this photos is not seen, new sheet metal is covered with zinc tin soft soldering from inside.
Tank from the outside will be protected in the same way + fiberglass and with it will be tested at 2 bar pressure.
If you were closer, I could make you a new tank bottom. Now I have trained.
