Re: Aro Revolution
The Aro has been in my town for a long time. I traded the owner for some mechanical work. The guy I got it from got it from a farmer in a town about 200 kms away in 1985. The story of how the farmer got it was that he had it given to him when he bought a new Belarus tractor from the dealer for getting to and from the fields. I'm not sure how believable this is.Ramiro wrote:Warm congratulations for your magnificent M461, and welcome to the Aro community.

Re: Aro Revolution
Built for military purposes, the M461 has quickly become a popular family off-road.

Re: Aro Revolution
Recently they have been found, outside of Europe, in Canada, USA and Colombia, but due to the robustness of the vehicle they're still widely used in the desert of North Africa.
I wonder how do they manage the maintenance of those vehicles.
Tudop, did you saw any of them when you went to Morocco?

Re: Aro Revolution
Nope, just one Aro 10 with resin hardtop, in Essaouira Ama27 went in octomber there again (2011), with his Aro243, and said that he had the first Aro to cross their border for some years, since they have a centralized database And he didn't encountered any Aro on his way.

If he was the 1st to cross the border with an Aro 243, I would call it "2011 space odyssey"...

Re: Aro Revolution
Mr. Edry seems to be happy with his M461 from 1971, which still in excellent condition, despite the hardness of the Libyan Desert...
