Any other FER frontmasked AROs around?

Hello to all ARO drivers

I wanted to ask if anybody knows if there are many ARO 24x from the 1970 with the frontmask for FER headlights. I have included a photo. In my documents it is called frontmask for FER and it uses the headlights called FER from the Wartburg 353 Version1. All is original, nearly all AROs in Austria have/had this FER lights from east germany, only a 240 from 1974 which I had (I sold it to a ARO museum in Germany) had the Dacia lights.

Here´s a picture of a Portuguese Aro 320 pick-up, named Campina, from 1979, with front headlights Renault (Dacia).

If the FER headlights to your Aro are from East Germany, probably Werner can help you...

Hi!

I have spoken to Werner about 5 or 6 years ago and at that time he didn´t now the FER headlights. I didnt want to buy the headlights (I have 6 or 7 in stock), I´m interested if this special version of the ARO 24x was only built for Austria or if this version was also available in other countrys or in Romania. And if this FER version was only built for Austria, why they built a special version for Austria?

What are you waiting for!... Please, you must post pictures of your rarity. From all those Aros, the 240 is one of the most beatiful 4x4 models ever made in Câmpulung Muscel!!!
