it seems u have a rare version that was supplied on early Aro models.

what u can do, is to put a new driveshaft, with small splines and swap the corresponding driveshaft pinion (spell?) that goes in the spider box.
That means that u need a driveshaft and a pinion.

If ure keen on having both driveshafts with same type of splines, than u need also both pinions.

Ydaniel will tell u the price since we found some driveshafts in a shop last week.

I am not sure somebody on teh forum would have the very model u have since Im afraid they are quite rare.

You don't look at all Your neighbors! So, You need this Driveshaft, it's the old tipe, whit the coarse thooting. It is the left side You need? I will see if I have one here.

is it easy to start the engine when is cold or u use a webasto?

Yeah... heating is the most important thing, really hard to start in the cold winters, even in the cold springs... so i have a motorwarmer, but i wondering get a more proper one

Also i'm gonna get a truck battery ( 200/300ah) for it.

The original fuel filters got so dirty so i had to switch them but i couldn't get a likewise filter so i have modded a mercedes W123 filter holder and filter and runs very nice with this, and we also have a lot of mercs so i have a lot of spare filter:)

Edit: the webasto engine is a 3.2 liter or do i have wrong?

what is a motor warmer?

i am curios since i have the same engine and i know how reluctant it is to start at any temperature below......0 deg

down to -7 i start it with ots own glow plug....not on the first try

lower temp and i use warm air produced by burning a piece of paper with solvent....and it will start even at -18 deg. lower than that i havent tried...

so, what type of motor warmer u have?

ps : webasto is a sistem. do use google for webasto for engines.

It is mounted beside the enginge block ( sometimes under), and you plug a 240v into the wall of the house or something, to get electricity to the component which generates heat, takes 1-2 hours to get ready to start at even 20 degrees with my bad battery and a battery charger

my plans is to get an warmer between the enginge and cooler so it will warm up all the water, known here to be kind off effective ( 15 mins to get a good tempretaure ) and what i know you also plug it into the electric jack.

In sweden with a direct translate it's called tubewarmer because you mount it where the tube from the cooler to the engine goes

And im going to a truck battery which i wrote about earlier, that have been in a Scania 112 T.

Looked up now, it ain't named motorwarmer, it is engine heater, google it and maybe you'll get a clue

Try to fit the fuel injection pump from a w123 240D - it will start a lot easier, and run smooth.

Also, you could try DTP nozzles for the fuel injectors.

A webasto is a good addition, and completely removes the need for engine heater, no more pluging in - 100% self reliant. Start anywhere, just with some diesel.

Webasto is basically a small german engine, with integrated fuel pump, and water pump, connected to the fuel lines of the car, plus the engine's water circuit and car's heater. What it does, is, it starts, takes some diesel from the tank, and heats up the water. Having a built in water pump, it cycles all the water, so it gets to a neat 40-50-60 deegrees C temperature. By doing so, the engine block, oil, and rest of the engine gets warm as well - so easy start, as well as nice heat in the cabin.

It really is a great invention. Our friend Maxim from Siberia has one, and it's doing wonders for his Brasov engine.

I'm in the process of adapting a w123 240D fuel pump myself, and I know several others who have done so already. Once I get started I'll let you in on the process and mods. However, it's fairly easy. The Merc pump being BOSCH has a couple of clear and important advantages:
- German made - a lot more quality than the crappy Romanian one
- A lot more reliable
- Better performance
- Being linear, it starts the engine easily

Webasto system must be expensive then i guess, do you have a thread here on the forum where you're modding your injection?

yeah, we have a lot of mercs and we love them more than any car brand, so we have a lot of spare pumps and i'm going to strip off a whole 240D w123 and take out the enginge just let the chassis and some main body parts be left, the thing i think would be the biggest problem is to adjust the pump in same degree as the old one and if the pump wheel doesnt fit, but maybe you can transfer the one from the old one?

After I got my axle or atleast got a solution for it I'm going to make a serious tune-up for the starting system, because here in sweden we have up to 40- in the winter so it could be an great advantage, and then i maybe will try to change pump ( very interested into doing that ) and change out the heater and do so much i can to make it better.
