Re: The Oldtimer Dacia
I'm impressed with the fantastic pictures.
And we can really read the golden plate with homages inscriptions "The first autovehicle series made ir R.S.R.(...)August 1968".
Is this Ceausescu's car guarded in the museum or something?
Unfortunately, doesn't look very preserved.
However, it's a historic car.
Brilliant Werner!!!...

Ceausescu's Dacia 1100 is very good preserved, just the pictures are not good quality. The car was sold in a auction, and the Romanian Auto Club, ACR, is the new owner of it!

Re: The Oldtimer Dacia
Your number-plate is ok! You know what "RPK" was in german language? RKP=Rumänische Kommunistische Partei!
(Partidul Comunist Român)

Hi, Werner
I'm glad because the car is preserved and in the right hands.
I also didn't know the meaning of the number plate...

Re: The Oldtimer Dacia
Uzina de Autoturisme Pitesti ( Automobile Factory Pitesti) and is the first name of the Dacia factory, at the begining. Pitesti is the city near the factory, at 120 km west from Bucharest.Ramiro Cavaleiro wrote: What does it mean "UAP"?
The factory is located actually at Colibasi (Mioveni now), 17 km north from Pitesti, but the communist party named the factory after the known city of Pitesti, where is an petrochemichal factory also (the biggest from SE of europe)

I think so too, Amb 13!!...
However, your Dacia is very rare in the most occidental countrys of Europe (excepting in occasional meetings), even in France, where already i've been twice!!...
