USA again 89 244 parts help
Hello, needing the repair/replace upper control arm trunnions? I do not know what they are referred to. They have much movement in them. Are new ones available? How do you take them apart?
Also clutch master cylinder? what part number? What else does it fit? Thanks again Terry
BTW thanks to Maxim.....I repaired my turn signals from your drawing.
I can email pictures

Hello, thank you for the reply.
I purchased it in North Carolina, it was at a car lot. The 244 has 18000 miles and is a victim of rust and non use. I have many pictures of the 244 but am not sure how to post them. Terry

Edit pictures is very simple. Choose "paint" aplication on your computer. Then open the pics and select the item image and then stretch. Now you can reduce the image size to 80% or 50%, depending on their size.
Good luck.
An Aro 244, similar to my Portaro, in North Carolina. Unbelievable. I can't wait to see the photos!!!

Terry, best to post a pic with the broken part.
There are more than one type. I suspect u have the old model, the one that has two big nuts on the upper wishbone.
I believe that trunnion means "pivot superior" in romanian, but i am not sure...
If such is the case, then removing it is bit tricky but not impossible.
First post the pic to be sure, then we can give u the steps.
Car looks like it spent a long time outside. I had similar issues with the bulkhead and i can send u pics how we sorted out replacing bits of tin and reinforcing the A posts with metal tubing.

Re: USA again 89 244 parts help
thanks Alex, I have repaired the rusted out places already. I forgot to post those pics. As for the Pivot Superior, I took it further apart to see that it is just a threaded stud setup. The "play" it has is from the coarseness of the thread. I see no way to make it less loose. A good packing with grease will tighten it back up somewhat. Terry

Hi Terry!
Give me pictures of broken units. I can know some analogues from other cars.

Re: USA again 89 244 parts help
hi, these rubber bushings are called "bucse bascula superioara". "bascula superioara " stands for upper wishbone if Im not wrong.
I think the rubber version here is more than often fairly inexpensive, like 2 usd a piece. Also quite often of unreliable quality.
It might be that a teflon based bushing i also made(this is how they name them here), which case price is slighty higher, but not by much.
Ive replaced all the bushings on my car with teflon based ones, except for the upper wishbone ones.
First, see if Maxim knows an analogue. Maybe u can ask around with the given dimensions and some bits , coming from land rover or yota will fit.
U should have the same issue with all the rubber bushings, right?

Re: USA again 89 244 parts help
ok, if u say so.
just beeing on the paranoid side....do check the lower wishbone ones as well...when loose they create the "X front wheel look".
Maxim any ideas on analogues?

Re: USA again 89 244 parts help
I will try to post some of the pictures of repairs that I have made so far. I am hoping to get it ready to start painting soon. I have had the truck for several years and have just now gotten some time to work on it. I have done alittle here and there on it over the years, but have never driven it on streets. I hope to have it on the road by this spring, although now would be a great time as we keep getting unusual amounts of snowfall here. We received 5 inches the 2 days ago. I know that is not much, but we still have the snow from a month ago here also. At least I have a Range Rover HSE to get me around as needed.
